The Calendar of Harptos

The Calendar of Harptos is the calendar used across most of Faerûn. It was created by the wizard Harptos, although most people associate the word “Harptos” with the calendar. It is divided into twelve months, each lasting three tendays (or thirty days). There are also five yearly festivals (and a sixth that occurs quadrennially) that fall between months, bringing the total number of days in most years to 365.

The standard days of the calendar have no proper names. They are instead referred to by number. For instance, “The 18th of Hammer,” or less frequently ’’The 9th day of the 2nd tenday of Hammer."
